Agile & UX : Play Nice

Agile & UX

I’ve been a long fan and practitioner of both Agile and User Centered Design. Here at Methink, we use both methodologies to craft websites that people will ultimately enjoy and find usable. We incorporate both philosophies into our Methink process because at the very core of Agile & User Centered Design is the desire to create great software for end users.

Personally, it’s a wonder that there is a schism at all between these two processes. Anyways, it’s good to see that this divide between the two camps is shrinking everyday…and developers who have found success in bringing both methodologies into the process are singing it’s praises. Here at Methink, we inherently practice both Agile and User Centered Design in our development process, and we’re thrilled that influential big development shops like Thoughtworks and HashRocket are speaking out to educate the community.

Here are two recent presentations from industry leaders about the topic:

1. Obie Fernandez on the Web 2.0 Show

2. Thoughtworks on InfoQ.com
